On a trip through Iceland, the authors participated with friends in the making of slátur, a traditional recipe. From the slaughtered lamb meat they ate, tales of the past surfaced. Recounting the experience of celebrating an old culinary tradition, of visiting a local folk museum, and of discovering the lives of famous and infamous enlightened heroes, this volume explores a history of iceland.
