Barnabókaverðlaun Guðrúnar Helgadóttur
Guðrún Helgadóttir Children's Literature Prize was founded in 2018 in honor of Guðrún Helgadóttir one of Iceland’s most prominent children book author. The prize will be awarded annually for unprinted child or youth book manuscripts, the prize is to encourage innovation in the industry. The award jury is composed of three individuals nominated from the Cultural, Sports and Leisure Committee, Reykjavík UNESCO City of Literature and the Writers' Union of Iceland.
